What's the difference between hot and cold rolled stainless steel coils?

Time:2018-03-23 16:53Author:jawaysteel
  Cold rolled

1.Features: Using stainless steel coil as raw material, then it is rolled into cold rolled mill at room temperature. Conventional thickness of cold rolled coil is 0.1mm ~ 3mm and width is 100mm ~ 2000mm

2 Surface: It has the advantages of smooth surface, flatness, high dimensional accuracy and good mechanical properties. Most of the products are rolled and can be processed into coated steel plates.

3 Production process: Pickling → Room temperature rolling → Process lubrication → Annealing → Leveling → Fine cutting

  Hot rolled

  1. Details: Hot rolled steel coils with a thickness of 1.80mm-6.00mm and a width of 50mm-1200mm.

2.Features: It has the advantages of low hardness, easy processing, and good ductility.

3.Production process: Pickling → High temperature rolling → Process lubrication → Annealing → Leveling → Fine cutting

  Differences

1.The strength and yield ratio of cold-rolled steel coils are good, and the ductility and toughness of hot-rolled steel coils are good.

2.The surface quality, appearance and dimensional accuracy of cold-rolled steel coils are better than that of hot-rolled steel coils.

3.The thickness of the cold-rolled coil is thin and the hot-rolled thickness is large.
